 Curriculum for preschool must be developmentally appropriate for the young child. Maturation of young children is highly variable, and early childhood education must understand neurological and psychological development. Activity that is both joyful and challenging allows the young child to learn perseverance and confidence. Experiential learning is meaningful and motivating, and thus a stepping-stone to developing skills and knowledge.
The primary focus in preschool is to develop language skills. Both the understanding and expression of language is a foundation for school achievement. Children, with competent language, negotiate the world of ideas, communications and interactions with ease.
The development of fine and gross motor skills, perceptual patterns, foreign language vocabulary, singing, instrument play, art and physical education are elements of every preschool classroom. Professional teachers in early childhood education, music, art, physical education and foreign language are committed to loving child management and creative learning activity.

No charge for Cedar Crest Academy students from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hourly rates are per hour, or any part of an hour. Hours are calculated from the top of the hour to the top of the next hour. (i.e., 7:00-8:00, 4:00-5:00, 5:00-6:00, etc.)
