Age: Campers 5 -11 years old
(Middle School Counselor in Training Program (CIT)- limited space available).
Camp Days:
9 - 12 p.m. & 1 - 4 p.m
Lunch is from 12-1 p.m.
- Campers bring snacks and lunch
- We provide milk, orange juice and water
- No charge for childcare 12-1 p.m. for full day campers!
What makes our summer programs unique?
Camps are planned and taught by Cedar Crest teachers and staff. Lead teachers are professional educators sharing camp and field instruction; they are passionate about teaching! Our goal for your child is to experience high-quality academic-focused camps, with plenty of outdoor play, fun and sports on our sun-drenched campus playgrounds, soccer field, lake and woods.
Safety:
All teachers, counselors and staff are fingerprinted/background checked to work at Camp Cedar Crest. All students wear life jackets while on our dock, boating and swimming. Safety glasses are worn when fishing. Please notify us of allergies or special dietary restrictions.
Before/After care:
Each day, 7:30 - 9 a.m. and 4 - 5:30 p.m., $5.75/hr.
What should my child bring to camp each day?
Two healthy snacks, lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, insect spray, extra clothes, wear athletic shoes, bring water shoes or closed toe sandals for water use, a hat for sun protection, sunglasses.

CAMP CEDAR CREST DESCRIPTIONS
SPANISH IMMERSION
|
Habla Española all week long. Camp offers 3 hours of Spanish instruction while reading books, playing games, singing songs and outdoor group activities. All levels welcome! |
MINECRAFT® GAMERS & LEGO®
|
Camp Cedar Crest’s resident gamer, Mr. Bond, designs a summer program utilizing all young gamers’ favorites, including Minecraft®, Lego®, Pokeman™, chess and board games. |
FISHING & KAYAKING
|
Spend the mornings kayaking Bridge Lake and adjoining creeks. Campers will learn fishing basics like knot-tying, setting up your pole, casting, using bait, and removing fish from hook. Kayak and paddle board races around the lake. |
SCIENCE CAMP
|
Mr. Bond leads experiments involving rockets, solar power, chemistry and physics, flight and electricity. Mr. Bond reenacts viral science experiment videos! Campers will be a part of the excitement. Safety goggles provided. Final camp Friday culminates in a Derby race. |
CREATIVE CONSTRUCTION
|
Campers will construct buildings, cities, vehicles, landscapes and much more. Materials available are balsa wood, glue, boxes, tape, and other creative materials to construct structures from their original ideas. Have you seen Caine’s Arcade? Let’s build! |
SCIENCE & DERBY CAMP
|
Mr. Bond will lead campers in owl pellet dissection, rocket building, chemistry of candy making, DNA analysis, paper airplane regulated contest. Crafting, the scientific way! |
CODING CAMP
|
Does your child love playing video games? Campers will learn how to make video games, not just play them! Camp Cedar Crest coders discover how to make animated videos, simple video games, and interactive stories. Using the Scratch programming language, campers are introduced to core computing concepts and basic logic commands. Campers will have the opportunity to program a robot to complete mazes and draw pictures! |
ACADEMIC PREP (K-3)

Get ready, get set for the school year! Support and accelerate skills, concepts and strategies in mathematics and language arts. |
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
|
Campers enjoy hiking through acres of wooded trails, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, fishing, organized sports and our giant slip and slide. Plenty of free play and organized activities throughout the afternoon. |

|
