UPDATE: 11/13/09

Cedar Crest Academy has teamed up with the Pine Knob Ski Area School Program to offer our students an opportunity to learn to ski and/or snowboard.

Tickets will be available for sale in the CCA Office for the next few weeks!

Please bring your checkbooks or cash to purchase CCA Ski Club memberships.  Both student and parent season memberships are $15 each.  Checks should be made payable to Pine Knob.  For additional information, please contact Tad L. Hershey at 248-909-9599.

Skiing is a skill that your family will enjoy for a lifetime and Michigan is a great place to learn!

Salmon in the Classroom

Cedar Crest Academy participates in the Salmon in the Classroom Program which is offered through the Michigan DNR.  In October, we receive 300 salmon eggs and raise them throughout the year.  The students monitor the water temperature, pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate.  They observe the salmon as they hatch at the end of November into sac fry, and grow throughout the year into small fry.  In May 2009, we released 12 salmon fry into the Clinton River.  We will continue the program in October 2009 with 300 new salmon eggs.
